Born in Latvia, she began her career with rigorous classical training and performed as first violin in a string quartet aboard the Celebrity Infinity, traveling from Alaska to Antarctica, including the Falkland Islands.

Based in Oakland, CA, Alise has performed professionally for over 20 years, including with the Oakland Symphony, Berkeley Symphony, and Monterey Symphony.
