Alise Ewan is a classically trained violinist, chamber musician, and versatile performer across Classical, Jazz, Hip-Hop, and Pop music. Born in Latvia, she began her career with rigorous classical training and performed as first violin in a string quartet aboard the Celebrity Infinity, traveling from Alaska to Antarctica, including the Falkland Islands.
Based in Oakland, CA, Alise has performed professionally for over 20 years, including with the Oakland Symphony, Berkeley Symphony, and Monterey Symphony. She has shared the stage with artists such as Smokey Robinson, Eagles, Andrea Bocelli, and Sigur Ros, and played high-profile events including the Conde Nast Traveler Annual Meeting, a private concert for Francis Ford Coppola, Candlelight Programs, and as first violin for a Bachelor episode filmed in Napa. She has also recorded at 2200 Studios in Sausalito, Soundwave Studio, and 25th Street Recording in Oakland.
A seasoned traveler who has visited over 40 countries, Alise speaks fluent English, Latvian, and Russian and has modeled professionally, bringing poise and creativity to her performances. She offers private online instruction via Zoom and specializes in live violin music for weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations. Certified in QuickBooks Online, bookkeeping, and Applied Accounting/Business Management from the College of Marin, she combines musical artistry with a professional, organized approach to her work and client bookings.
